On December 18, 2019, the Shinsoen Group, which has two stores in Kamakura, Shonan Shirasu and Kaisendon, opened its 10th store, “Gohachi,” on Komachi-dori, Kamakura.
We mainly offer fresh seafood rice bowls like Shirasu-Don which is a rice bowl with whitebait on top and Kaisen-Don which is a rice bowl with fresh seafoods on top.
The whitebait we offer is locally unloaded here in Shonan area and can be tasted the freshness on the same day of landing. (However, we might purchase whitebait from other area during the season in which fishing is not allowed and in case of a poor haul due to bad weather.)
We hope everyone enjoy the taste of raw seafoods including whitebait.
It is a 1-minute walk from Kamakura Station and easily accessible from the entrance of Komachi-dori, so you can fully enjoy the seafood while feeling the liveliness of Kamakura and tasting it as it is.
